CSET Curriculum Statement

Your education is a moment in time to be enjoyed in its own right as well as being preparation for your future. CSET believes in the power of education to be truly transformational for individuals.  We believe in a whole education which provides a holistic experience for each and every student.

CSET Schools will lead our young people and community in an inspirational curriculum. CSET defines the curriculum as the totality of a child’s experience of education from 4-19, particularly:

  • the quality of teaching and learning
  • the explicit taught subject knowledge
  • the development of broader skills and personal qualities

In CSET schools you can expect:

  • to be inspired
  • to be inquisitive
  • to be challenged
  • to be ambitious
  • to be nurtured

We achieve this through a curriculum that is driven by high quality teaching and learning which develops:

  • deep subject knowledge
  • subject skills for learning and for life
  • enriching opportunities within and beyond the classroom

We will assess in different ways but always to recognise the skills and attributes of our community.

As a consequence you will:

  • grow as a person
  • be a positive and active member of your community
  • be able to work well independently and interdependently
  • be employable
  • want to be the best you can be in whatever you do
