CSET Celebration 2024
In July, we were again delighted to be able to hold our annual ‘CSET Celebration’ at the University of the West of England, where we brought together all of our schools to celebrate the remarkable achievements of so many of our pupils. This year, we were particularly pleased to include students from Cherry Garden and Tortworth Primary Schools, who joined the Trust during the course of the last academic year.
Those present were moved by the extraordinary things achieved by our pupils, and the extent to which they put themselves out for others, both in their own schools and in the wider community; supporting the sick and vulnerable; working to improve their own school environment; taking direct and positive actions on the climate change agenda; achieving great artistic and sporting prowess.
Along with some great performances from the secondary schools, including Downend’s very own magician, Theo Webb, the audience were treated to a wonderful joint performance by all the primary schools, singing ‘The Power in Me’ - a suitable anthem to exactly what our young people can achieve.
Once again, the event was fully sponsored by Quattro Design Architects and Speller Metcalfe, who have been working so positively with the Trust on many of our new school buildings. Our thanks go to them for their support.
